Karen Caruso
Founder & President

With more than 30 years of experience in fundraising and philanthropy, Ms. Caruso is a strategic, results-oriented professional. She is adept at planning and assessing development efforts, managing and organizing projects and priorities, and training and coaching staff and volunteers. She has extensive expertise in foundation, corporate, and government relations, and previously provided counsel to a new grant-making foundation.

Prior to starting her consulting practice in 2001, Ms. Caruso worked at New York University, the Police Athletic League, and the New York Blood Center. She previously worked in the advertising and fashion industries before joining the nonprofit sector.

Ms. Caruso is passionate about children, under-served populations, education, the environment, arts & culture, public service, social justice, and enabling people of all ages and economic circumstances to reach their potential. She also has an abiding interest and practice in career coaching and development.

Ms. Caruso served on the board of directors of Women in Development (WiD), New York, and is a current member of WiD. She has a B.S. in Marketing from St. John’s University and a certificate in Adult Career Planning and Development from New York University.
